1. Guidelines

The late registration and abstract submission deadline is Jan. 5. 2009. If you plan to attend, please register and submit your contribution as soon as possible. The early registration and abstract submission deadline was Dec. 15 and we received 132 registrations from:
North America & Europe = 63, Asia & Australia = 33, Africa & Middle East = 30, Latin America = 6  (as of Friday Dec. 19)

Late contributions will be accommodated while there is room in the program, so early submission is highly recommended. Contributions from under-represented regions in Africa, Asia and Latin America are especially encouraged. Submitted contributions must be related to the themes and topics of the conference program (see program page). There will also be a waitlist of talks and posters.

Contributions reporting important, new observational results may be submitted until Feb. 15. Only a few slots are dedicated to this kind of contribution, which must be of high importance.

Confirmation e-mails are sent within a week of registration. The scientific organizing committee will review all registrations and contributions and will get back to all registrants in the second half of Jan. 2009. Invitation letters that can be used for visa applications will be sent during that time.

The conference registration fee is $300, which includes one copy of the proceedings and all lunches, dinners, and coffee breaks. After Jan. 5, the registration fee will increase to $350. Information about the registration fee due date and payment method will be sent out to the invited participants.
